In the past three and half years, Summit Anesthesia Associates at Overlook Hospital has dedicated a special team of highly qualified anesthesiologists for weight loss surgeries.  We have implemented special clinical protocols and techniques to ensure safe airway management, adequate hydration, and quick wake-up at the end of the case for our patients.  With these special considerations and care, our patients routinely find themselves waking up at the end of the surgery feeling comfortable and pain free.  To date, we have excellent clinical results and have received strong positive feedback from our surgeons and patients.  We will continue to offer our best service to the community. 

As regular members of the Overlook Hospital bariatric anesthesia team, Dr. Daniel D. Yao and Dr. Dan H. Woo have been closely working with Dr. Goyal for many years.  Dr. Yao received his medical degree from University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.  He did his residency of anesthesia at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Woo went to medical school at Robert Wood Johnson in NJ.  He finished his anesthesia residency at Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School.  He further finished his cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell Medical Center.  Both doctors are American Board Certified anesthesiologists and have done several hundred cases of bariatric anesthesia with excellent result.
